Chris Zippel prozudierte neben den eigenen projekten bereits auch für bekannschaften, wie: pet shop boys, snap!, fatboy slim, spike oder Robbie Williams, um nur einige zu nennen. Sein programm zieht sich durch alle genres.. beginnend mit rave/techno bis pop und nun schliesslich auch zu chilligem downbeat. Unzählige alben, singles, sowie compilation sind aus seiner schöpfungen entstanden (das gleiche gilt auch für die anzahl der labels, die ihn beleiten).
Das neue album zeigt sich in gewohntem "elektrolux"-manier.. angenehme und druckvolle beats gepaart mit sehr gelungenen melodien. Kurz nach der VÖ stieg die scheibe auf platz 1 der DCOC (www.dcoc.de).

Chris Zippel is a prominent new entrant on Elektrolux. For more than 15 years, he has been working as producer and remixer for Pop and Dance stars such as Pet Shop Boys, Robbie Williams, Snap, Schiller, Baby D., Marmion or the Berlin band ‘Ich & Ich’ around Annette Humpe. In his Berlin-based sound lab, the congenial perfectionist offers hi tech support for record labels and musicians.
More than 300 outstanding mastering works prove Chris Zippels post production competence. The musical autodidact has been using synthesizers since the middle of the 80s. In the course of studio productions in his hometown, Chris Zippel quite early met the protagonists of the so called ‘Berliner Schule’ – electronic ‘grandmasters’ like Stefan Kaske (Mythos), whose innovative understanding of sound considerably influenced Zippels work. By two internationally respected solo albums on Ninetysix Sounds, he set some new courses in the Electronica genre at the end of the nineties.
Under the project title ‘genuine - nu ambient grooves’, Chris Zippel created a very personal interpretation of Ambient using marching TripHop-Beats, intensive atmospheres and melancholic Pop references – also a reference to his ‘heroes’ Cocteau Twins, The Orb, Sigur Ros, Boards of Canada or Future Sound of London.
Moreover, the new ‘Genuine Horizon’ features a number of high class vocal partners: ‘Ich & Ich’ singer Adel Tawil, Tusnelda from Kopenhagen (who e.g. worked with Jam El Mar/Jam & Spoon), the New Yorker singer and performance artist Cindy Rivera or Sascha Baschin (Ultraviolet/Berlin). ‘Ich & Ich’ producer Sebastian Kirchner plays the guitar on 5 of 10 tracks. Thus, Zippels proven ‘Genuine’ concept gets a new dimension: ‘My music should not be mere entertainment but should touch the audience emotionally’, Zippel describes his musical target. ‘At best, a unique moment of sound emerges which implies a silent longing.’ But surely a kind of addiction as well: While listening to Chris Zippels Chill Pop fantasies like ‘Again’, ‘Blade’ or ‘Particle’ with pleasure, you will get more than an idea what ‘ Genuine Horizon’ can do to your heart, brain and ears
